As the year winds down, it’s natural to reflect on what we’ve achieved, the events that shaped us, our teams and businesses, and what lies ahead. Two key figures at Toustone, an advanced analytics company based in Australia, recently shared their insights on this journey. CEO Craig Lefoe and Director of Service Delivery, Adam Sharp, offer a glimpse into the company’s culture and direction.
In their reflections, Craig and Adam go beyond the achievements, shedding light on the strategic vision driving Toustone’s success. We feel that what makes Toustone unique is not just the advanced and predictive analytics solutions it provides (which, mind you is absolutely leading edge) but the culture it has cultivated. It’s a culture of forward-thinking, technological excellence, a customer-first attitude, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
Leaders across Australia, who value the power of data-driven decision making, innovation, strategic foresight, and solid partnerships, may resonate with the narratives shared by Craig and Adam.

The gathering that told a story
By Craig Lefoe, CEO at Toustone.
This gathering (image above) was particularly special as it told a story – a story about growth, the impact of Australian regional business, and camaraderie.
In the last three years, Toustone’s experienced a remarkable 30% year-over-year growth. While many tech companies scaled back post-COVID, Toustone has sustained its growth, reflecting the significance of regional Australia in business; in fact, we often punch above our weight. Our growth also mirrors the increasing recognition among leaders of the power of data when it comes to business growth and enhanced operational efficiencies – music to our ears.
It is also a tale of camaraderie. For the first time, several of our team members met each other in person, given that we operate as a hybrid/remote data and advanced analytics business and we’ve had many new starters in 2023. Roughly 50% of our 30+ team is based in Albury/Wodonga, while the other 50% are spread across Australia in Sydney, Perth, Geelong, Gippsland, Sunshine Coast, and Canberra.
A strong, united team can accomplish so much. Witnessing our data scientists, business analysts, and machine learning professionals building relationships with our operations, sales, and marketing team members was exactly what I had hoped for.
A heartfelt thank you to all the Toustone team members who made this past week, culminating in our 2024 business update and this dinner, truly special.
May the entire LinkedIn community enjoy the weeks ahead, reflecting on the year’s work and anticipating what is to come.
A transport advanced analytics team like no other
By Adam Sharp, Co-founder at Toustone.
I am feeling reflective and thankful after spending a wonderful week with all of the Toustone team in Albury. Reflective, as we had a chance to look both backward and forward as a business. And thankful, that I get to work with the individuals captured in this photo (and others who weren’t available to be “snapped”) as part of the transport team.
They are remarkably skilled in their respective roles, both as individuals and as a cohesive team. Attention to detail, passionate, organised, client-oriented, thorough, growth mindset, motivated.. these are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of Tim, Heather, Gary, Aayushi and Siddhartha captured in this photo. As well as Nick, Charles, Ben, Mal and Kenny who weren’t able to join us for the photo shoot!
Their accomplishments stand unmatched in the transport analytics space. In fact, in a recent conversation with a transport leader and consultant, they reminded me of the substantial and impactful projects we’ve undertaken and that we strive to consistently serve our transport clients. This unequivocally speaks to the remarkable achievements of these individuals.
The photo was taken just a few days ago during a gathering of the entire Toustone team at our annual business update. It provided an opportunity to reflect on the past year and deliberate on our organisational goals for 2024. Transport initiatives, especially those at the forefront of innovation with advanced and predictive analytics, held a prominent place on the agenda. Knowing that I have this exceptional team to drive these initiatives forward is truly a blessing.
Please join me in cheering them on!
