Recognising the need to consolidate their data, one of Australia’s largest State Government Public Health Systems required Toustone’s expertise to understand their patients and the various levels of health data across the board better.

Operating 220 public health hospitals as well as providing community health and other public health services through a network of local health districts, specialty networks and non-government affiliated health organisations, they had a large council area with many different hospitals and general practitioners.

With a large volume of health-related datasets and a lack of in-house capabilities, Toustone was engaged to supply Power BI data modelling and reporting skills onto their platform by embedding Toustone Data and Business Analysts.

This meant that the Government Health Organisation was not only able to view the required information across the area, but the reporting dashboard also could flex and expand depending on the end user, their requirements and the level of access needed.

The automation of reporting provided the dual benefit of cost savings and removed the risk of errors due to the manual handling of data.

One of Australia’s largest customer service agencies providing one-stop access to government services across 250 service centres experienced large volumes of data, making it difficult for them to gain a holistic view across the various government departments.

While they had a software solution that had a Yellowfin reporting layer to manage the many and varied types of vehicle licences, there were approximately 150 types of licences that needed to be consolidated and sent to different government departments.

Coupled with the lack of in-house capabilities to do the work of configuring the inbuilt data analytics and Business Intelligence platform of the software, Toustone provided an in-house Data Analyst to develop a reporting platform to bring together the complex data across the various departments into one place.

Key information such as licence expiry was now viewable from this report, allowing individual departments to have an overview of the key datasets related to their business goals and KPIs.

Leveraging Toustone’s capabilities provided this organisation with a comprehensive view of its operations, achieving faster and more efficient insights to improve customer service delivery.

The North East Waste and Resource Recovery Group (North East WRRG) was brought together to advance the circular economy, reduce landfill waste, and encourage recycling as much as possible in the region.

The group worked with seven Councils in North East Victoria: Alpine, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Indigo, Benalla, Towong and Mansfield. And also worked with three Alpine Resort Management Boards: Falls Creek, Mt Hotham and Mt Buller/Mt Stirling.

Struggling with the complexities of disjointed systems across each council, and the need for data consolidation, digitalisation of their waste management services across the 10 councils was required.

Toustone was engaged to set up a reporting system using a Business Intelligence platform which collected data from each council to understand what type of waste was being delivered to the local landfill.

Embedding Data and Business Analysts to digitally transform their systems and harness the power of Business Intelligence, Toustone not only consolidated disparate data streams but also provided each council with tailored insights to drive localised recycling efforts.

Additionally, our centralised dashboard offered a comprehensive holistic overview of the North East region to the Victorian Government, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning for a more sustainable future.
